Top 3 Ab Exercises With No Equipment Needed
Belonging to a gym is a good idea if you’re serious about weight loss and staying in shape. Not everyone can afford the membership fee to a gym, though. This doesn’t mean they’ll never be able to get their abs in shape. There are a lot of great exercises for rock hard abs that don’t require any equipment at all. Whether you use equipment or not, you have to put the work in if you want to lose weight, get your six-pack abs, and keep your body looking good. The good news is that anyone can do this, even if they can’t afford to go to a gym.
Bicycle Crunch
This ab exercise is not as well known as the sit-up, but it’s a great way to target the abdominal muscles for a great workout. Basically, while lying on your back, you bend your knees (as if you were sitting in a chair), and proceed to make a motion like you’re pedaling on a bicycle. This is a great, simple way to target your stomach.
Half Curl
For this ab exercise, you want to lie on your back with your knees raised, but your feet flat on the floor. Place your hands on your thighs. Then, breathing in, use your abdominal muscles to rise until your fingers touch your knees. Lower then repeat. Doing several reps of this a day will get you well on your way to great abs.
Crossover Crunch
This is a slight variation on the classic sit-up. With your knees bent and your feet flat on the floor, put your hands behind your head and use you stomach muscles to lift up so your right elbow touches your left knee. After dropping slowly to the start position, repeat but in the other direction, with you left elbow touching your right knee. A few reps of these throughout the day will help you get the abs you’ve always wanted.
Enter the Ab Belt
While these exercises are tried and true ways to get great looking abs, there are things you can do to help achieve great looking abs. For one, ab belts can be worn to help stimulate the muscles with electricity – even while you’re doing other things. If you’re too tired to do the exercises above day after day, an ab belt can be a great way to help you get results when you’re too tired to exercise.
